Marie's Entry....

OMG. its the last day in D.C. what is to happen of the DCFunCrew?! haha well, as ive said time and time again, it is somewhat bitter sweet... right now, more sweet than bitter because I can't wait to get home to that 90 degree weather ya'll are having out there! so amazing!

In about 15 minutes, we are heading down to the lobby for the UCDC Farewell Dinner. This part is a little bitter because this might be the last time we are going to ever see some of the people we've met here.  Good times I must say. Some people are actually STAYING  in D.C. after the program is over because they want to. Crazy? Yes, I agree. But anyway, i heard this dinner is suppose to be the bomb... chicken, salmon, brie cheese and bread, etc. yahooo! FREE DINNER!

Today, I went to the UPS store and sent home 2 big boxes and one luggage of stuff home to Cali.  That shit was expensive to ship... im talking $165.00!!! It's amazing to see how much stuff you can acquire in the course of three months. Holy cow. I'm coming home with so much more stuff than what I had orginially came to D.C. with. Yikes. Tells ya something about my spending habits.

Tomorrow is the big day... off to NYC we go! I can't wait. I think I might fall in love with that part of the East Coast and maybe not want to go home to Cali. YEAH RIGHT. I am such the Southern Californian! But I am sure its going to be fun to in NY! Come on, TRL and watching "Rent" on Broadway??? Could it BE any better!?

And with this last entry before returning home, in a nutshell, I would say that my Washington D.C. experience couldn't have been any better without my roomates (i <3 you girls!) and the friends I made here.  I lied. It could have been better had the weather cooperated a tad bit, but what can you do? It's just perpetually cold here during the winter. duh Marie. oh and my internship at National Public Radio has taught me so much about professionalism and what the world of communications and publicity is like.  Chances are, I'm going to be hitting up the entertainment industry after i graduate...so MTV watch out, here i come! But the people I worked with at NPR were so cool (with the exception of my supervisor.. sometimes) they gave me a $40 gift certificate to Urban Outfitters... good lookin' out! All in all, D.C. was a good experience!

This is Marie from the DCFunCrew signing off... SEE YA'LL in CALI!

p.s. don't forget: APRIL 8th. Tapas. Welcome Back party for Me, Susan, Erin, and Joanne (Seena and Sean too!). COME!
